Photos and videos of the solar eclipse March 9, 2016
The day before yesterday there was a total solar eclipse, which could be observed in Indonesia, Micronesia, and some other Pacific islands. The maximum duration of the full phase was observed in the region of the Caroline Islands.
Surprisingly, our zealous editors bypassed this news. Under the cut, a small selection of photos and videos of this phenomenon.

An amateur video shot near the city of Palu (Indonesia). The author of the video, Sam Huang, shot not only the sky, but also the surrounding landscape and happy spectators plunging into the darkness. One of them even started dancing during the full phase :-)
And this video was shot on board an Alaska Airlines plane flying from Anchorage (Alaska) to Honolulu (Hawaii). The airline specifically adjusted the flight plan to please astronomy enthusiasts on board. It’s better to watch without sound, the emotions of American passengers behind the scenes hit over the edge :-)
