John Chen confirms that BlackBerry updates will be released in 2016

Despite his previous statement that the company is going to leave BlackBerry OS and switch to Android, John Chen said that an update for BlackBerry10 devices will be released in 2016, a new version 10.3.3 will be released this year and later that year, later one 10.3.4.
The CEO also said that they are not going to abandon the BlackBerry OS platform and the next smartphone will be released this year.

Corporate customers and end users working with smartphones such as Passport, Classic and others are looking forward to many improvements in terms of security and privacy in 2016. Version 10.3.3, which will be certified by the NIAP , will be released soon, which means that the system has passed the strictest government security test, which allows us to continue supporting government and regulatory clients who use BlackBerry and require a high level of security and privacy. We also plan to release version 10.3.4 at the end of this year with a more improved security system.

It's just not known whether they will still support the Z10 and Z30 and release updates for them, but, nevertheless, this is good news for users and fans of Research In Motion.
