What might Apple's 3D printer look like? Possible design concept presented
The recent publication of Apple’s patent indirectly confirms the company's desire to enter the 3D printing market and undoubtedly, they have huge potential for this.
So, why does Apple take so long and what do their 3D printing staff do? As it became known, Apple has filed for another patent . This latest patent introduces the concept of a 3D color printer that will make everyone stunned once and for all - and perhaps it will cause other manufacturers to lose their sleep.
Designers have created a possible device concept in a cubic style. iPrinter resembles an enlarged charger from the iPhone with a slightly changed shape, a small screen, the same as the iPad or iPhone, located above the print area. It is assumed that such a platform will be convenient to use and will cause enthusiasm among Apple fans.
“I ask myself: what might such a 3D printer look like , but more importantly, why should Apple enter this market?” Thinks industrial designer Martin Hajek. “Will they sell the printers themselves, or even polymers and fibers for printers?” How about what Apple has done for iTunes music and app-store apps - can they do the same for 3D printingwith a 3D model store? This is an interesting thought ... ”
As for 3D printing , only time will tell if Apple really plans to enter the 3D printing market.
