bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0: 8-inch tablet with Intel® Atom ™ X3-C3230RK and Android 5.1 Lollipop
Hello. This review will talk about the 8-inch tablet bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0. This line - Techno Mozg - exclusively includes models based on Intel® Atom ™ X3-C3230RK processors. In total, the Russian brand bb-mobile has 4 such tablets - with a diagonal of 7, 7.85, 8 and 10.1 inches. By most characteristics, they are very similar, but they are united by the above-mentioned hardware platform and fairly fresh software - Android 5.1 Lollipop. A review of Techno Mozg 7.85 at Geektimes is already there, and today we will talk about the "brainy eight." It is estimated at 7,490 Russian rubles.

The delivery package is traditionally very generous for bb-mobile Techno devices. In a cardboard box, in addition to the usual charger unit, USB-microUSB cable, instructions, warranty card and stereo headset, there is also a screen napkin, OTG cable, a stylus for capacitive screens, and a case. The latter can act as a stand - for example, when watching a video.

The vast majority of bb-mobile tablets - say, 9 out of 10 - are enclosed in shockproof metal condo shells. However, in the case of bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0, the choice was for some reason made in favor of hard matte plastic. The model in two colors: white and black. The build quality is at a high level: no creaks or backlashes have been noticed, while twisting the panel of the case does not bend.

The front of the bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 is covered with a protective glass. The front camera and the earpiece are located above the display, but unfortunately there are no light sensors and proximity sensors in the tablet. This means that automatic screen brightness adjustment is not provided, and when talking on the tablet as on a smartphone (with hold on the ear), the display does not turn off automatically.

A microphone is visible at the bottom of the front panel - this indicates the possibility of using the tablet as a phone. If holding an 8-inch device near your ear is not too convenient or even shameful, you can always use a wireless headset in the form of a miniature phone - such as those already in the bb-mobile portfolio, the line is called bb-mobile micrON.
The volume and power keys of the device are on the right side of the bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0.

At the upper end are a recessed reset button (Reset), a microUSB connector and a port with a diameter of 3.5 mm for connecting headphones or a headset.

On the back side of the bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 is the main camera and an LED flash, at the bottom there is a multimedia speaker. I would like to especially note the presence of a flash - even if it is not the strongest, but in the vast majority of tablets, regardless of price, manufacturers somehow avoid installing such a “bonus”. But in vain, because in the case of bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 and more or less tolerable photo in the dark will allow you to take, and will act as a flashlight. Slots for a memory card and two SIM cards are hidden under a plastic cover.

The 8-inch display has a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. To some this may not seem like a very high indicator, but in fact, such a resolution is a perfectly acceptable option. Individual pixels are not striking, that is, the picture does not look grainy. The display uses an IPS matrix, which provides wide viewing angles, natural color reproduction and a fairly high contrast ratio - in general, it is a sin to complain. Especially if you remember the price of the tablet.

It’s only a pity that the screen surface is rather rough, and in some cases it’s not very comfortable to drive on it with a finger. At the same time, the touch layer is very sensitive, there are no problems with getting into the interface elements with a finger. Multi-touch, of course, supports up to 5 touches.

The bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 has two cameras. The front camera has a resolution of 2 megapixels, the main - 5. Very high quality images from the second, and even more so from the first one should not be expected. As a working “soap box”, say, for photographing abstracts, the tablet will fit - but no more.

Like all other bb-mobile tablets of the Techno Mozg family, the bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 is equipped with the Intel® Atom ™ X3-C3230RK chipset with a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor. This is a very powerful "pebble", which set a new bar for performance and stability for budget tablets. In AnTuTu, the device in question is gaining about 20 thousand points - about a quarter more than the models of the beginning of 2015 with MediaTek chipsets. In addition, even after the "sessions" of 3D gaming, bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 remains cool. And this despite the plastic case, which, unlike the metal one, dissipates heat much worse. Here I add that the RAM in the model is 1 GB, built-in - 8. If desired, it can be expanded using a microSD card up to 32 GB.

bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 is powered by a 4000 mAh battery, one full charge lasts about 2 days in mixed mode. If you want to watch, say, a movie in HD-quality, then the device will last for a maximum of three films - this is about 7 hours of uninterrupted playback.
In bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, as well as GPS / GLONASS and 3G are provided. Moreover, GPS / GLONASS is completely off the mark (as is often the case with budget models) - everything works fine, the tablet is easily able to work as a navigator in a car. In the case of a 3G modem, access to the Network is supplemented by voice communication capabilities, you can make calls and write SMS messages from a tablet. In general, bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0, as is almost always the case with bb-mobile tablets, is a three-in-one device: tablet + smartphone + navigator.
The bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 uses the Android operating system version 5.1 Lollipop, which is a very pleasant moment in the case of an inexpensive tablet. Yes, I am aware that the release of Marshmallow 6.0 already exists, but Lollipop did not manage to become outdated in any way. Talking about software for a long time and in detail does not make sense - there are no special improvements from the manufacturer in it. Familiar to the eye Material Design with several pre-installed applications: Yandex services, Dr. Web, file manager, etc.

The weaknesses of bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 are traditional for budget tablets: quite a bit of internal memory (8 GB), weak cameras. At the same time, the strengths of the tested device are not atypical for inexpensive “pills”. The main feature of bb-mobile Techno Mozg 8.0 is Intel® Atom ™ X3-C3230RK, which is fast, cold and economical enough, and GLONASS supports. Add here a high-quality IPS screen, smartphone functionality, a fresh version of Android - and get a very successful investment option of 7,490 rubles. In general, you can recommend a tablet for purchase, which I do.
