Windows 10 IoT on Raspberry Pi 2

Microsoft has never hidden their plans to implement Windows 10 in every corner of the world, implementing versions of its OS for PCs, smartphones and even the ability to stream their phone to TV. To help people developing the IoT business, the company from Redmond is teaming up with Adafruit to present a starter kit for enthusiasts and lovers of DIY assembly.

The kit is designed to help developers increase the speed and functionality of home devices in a short time. It is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 2, one of the most popular platforms for Windows 10 IoT.

The Starter Kit includes the platform itself, male / female, male / female cables, a miniature Wi-Fi module, a temperature and humidity sensor, a color sensor, a 150 cm Ethernet cable and, most importantly, a microSD card with Windows 10 IoT installed on it .

The cost of such pleasure without Raspbery Pi 2 is $ 40, and those who do not have the platform themselves will have to pay $ 115 for the entire pack.

And of course, if you want only hardware, no one forces you to install Windows 10 IoT on it. It is fully compatible with Linux and Python for Raspberry.

Other improvements regarding software include an improved security system, the ability to modulate the pulse width and the conversion of analog signal to digital. Microsoft also fixed problems with USB HID-class drivers and a few other minor bugs.
