Sputnik for Android and iOS

Today, at the ongoing Cyber ​​Security Forum 2015, Rostelecom introduced the new Sputnik mobile browser.
Android users can already download the application from Google Play , as well as the developer promises to publish the application in the App Store in the near future.

The application itself is positioned as a browser for family use. “Sputnik” is equipped with a built-in system of protection against malicious activity, there is a “child mode”, as well as the possibility of anonymous operation, support for voice input and other functions. When working with this browser, the user, for example, will be warned about loading potentially dangerous web pages, and in child mode access to sites with adult (18+) and dangerous content will be blocked.

From the application available on Google Play, several functions are noted, such as: caching materials - the page can be saved to be read later even without an Internet connection and convenient customization of the start page - by default, it displays information about the exchange rate, weather and recent Russian news.

According to Sputnik’s product director, Mikhail Kozlov: the company plans to create other services, including a poster for children and parents and the Sputnik.Children project.

According to Interfax , the mobile satellite is based on Android WebKit. At the moment, work is underway on the desktop version of the browser.
