3 steps to building a dream team

How to assemble a team that will not let you down and help develop a business from scratch. My own experience.

1. Passion

Yes, you must have a passion for your cause.

After all, when a team is faced with real problems, and without this there is not a single startup, only it will save you and your business. It is passion that will unite the team and allow you to achieve your goals, bypassing obstacles and learning from mistakes.
Any new launch has a high probability of failure, and without passion, as a unifying force, the chances of failure are even higher.
Your personal passion for business will attract co-founders, potential customers and investors.

For example, a few years ago, I discovered that the city portal is a very lucrative niche for business. But there are a lot of obstacles in the way of young teams wishing to start such a business, such as the expensive costs of developing and maintaining a working portal, building a sales department, and training staff. My personal interest in improving the industry has led to the creation of our franchise - Gorodor.

If you don’t feel a rush of heat when you think about the project, this is not for you, it’s better to do something else or get hired work.

2. Building a successful business alone is really difficult

Find at least one co-founder. From my own experience I understood how this can ease the suffering on the way to the goal and allow me to feel more confident. Moreover, one person is unlikely to have all the skills and competencies to develop a team from scratch. Look for a friend, a friend who will complement your knowledge gaps.

Take the time now to find such a person and build a trusting relationship with him.

Entrepreneurship is emotionally (and sometimes physically) tedious, so you will definitely need support. I found that the optimal team for project management consists of two to three people. After you assemble the “backbone”, find specialists and consultants who will help fill in the gaps.

3. Look for missing qualities in your team members and complement them.

Carefully study the topic you want to do.
Take time and critically analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your team. Think about how to remedy the situation; maybe you should go through training or hire additional specialists. It is better to do this before the start of the project, even at the planning stage.
