Finally, we managed to organize the installation and testing of prototypes of the device of the new version. A device that performs only one function is the destruction of computers. However, we will not be limited only to computers, the device is able to disable almost any equipment equipped with a USB Host interface. For example, I have on my desk an oscilloscope with a USB interface (but it’s still useful), almost all smartphones support USB OTG mode, TV, routers, modems, etc.

The main feature of the new version of the device is twice the “output” voltage, now it is 220V (strictly speaking, minus 220V). Also, when developing a new version, efforts were aimed at making the device even more compact, since in the first version it was necessary to modify the case a little to make everything fit.

The principle of work has not changed. Connecting to a USB port starts the voltage converter, which charges capacitors up to 220V. Upon reaching this voltage, the converter turns off, and the energy stored in the capacitors is supplied to the signal lines of the USB interface. After the discharge of the capacitors, the cycle repeats.
