Rockstar sued Google

In 2011, Google tried to acquire patents owned by Nortel, offering $ 900 million, later several times raising the price to the level of $ 4.4 billion. However, Rockstar offered better conditions and purchased them for $ 4.5 billion in early 2012. After that, Google turned her attention to Motorola and bought it for $ 12.5 billion.
Rockstar claims compensation, and the lawsuit states: “Despite Google’s failure to acquire Nortel’s patents, it violated and continues to violate patents intentionally.” It is noted that in this case, the amount of payments can be significantly increased.
A Google representative declined to give any comments; other participants have not yet commented on the situation.
