Kickstarter is raising funds for the game-heir of the famous Road Rush

Today, I accidentally stumbled upon a fundraiser on Kickstarter for a game that developers themselves call the "spiritual heir" of the famous Road Rush series. The Road Rush series of games was very popular in the 90s (at least in my childhood it was) for the Sega Mega Drive. The name of the game is Road Redemption. In the process of viewing the trailer, the “notes” of that old old school game are immediately caught: opponents can be beaten with various objects, pushed under oncoming cars, and the motorcycle races themselves have not gone away. The arsenal became more interesting: firearms, explosives appeared, to the melee weapons from the original game (in the original version there were fists, a club, a chain and a crowbar), samurai swords, sledgehammers and many other fittings were added, in addition, they promise to add a full story to the game.

At the moment, about $ 40K has been raised, the goal is $ 160K and 26 days are ahead. The game is scheduled for release in August 2014.
