In this note, I would like to convey the importance of customer feedback. For some reason, many managers underestimate this aspect of the project’s life and prefer to listen to reputable people from various fields instead of their clients.
Some manage to go round almost all startup parties and ask all reputable experts they could find an opinion on their project. But you know, it will not do anything. It only takes precious time and money to move. And that's why.
Clients are “more expert” than experts
In fact, the most reputable experts are your first users. It is they, and not the mentors and mega experts, who will tell you where your layout has moved and where some function does not work. They really try your product and express their opinion about it from the inside, not from the outside. And experts see only the tip of the iceberg, the wrapper of the project. Clients see the entire iceberg as a whole and evaluate the internal content. That is why their opinion is much more important.
It is clients who are able to offer really useful ideas for the development of functionality. Because they already use the product and they know better what they are ready to pay you for!
Two experts can tell you the exact opposite. Because in fact, none of them knows your product as deeply as customers. The opinion of experts is divorced from reality, even despite their rich experience in one or another field. The opinion of customers, on the contrary, is the most objective. And your profit and success of the project as a whole depends on how much you listen to it.

Instead of start-up parties and a hunt for opinions, the team and I are simply working on the development of the company and are sensitive to our users, trying not to miss a single feedback from them. It is user feedback that best helps us in our development. The development path and priorities are set by themselves. Errors and shortcomings also make themselves felt quickly. In general, we realized the importance of feedback long ago when we worked on our first web projects. One of them was a novelty in the market, and there some kind of feedback and user interaction tool was especially needed. But it turned out that there was nothing particularly useful in the market on the market ... Except for a dozen absolutely identical side buttons “Feedback” for the site, there was practically no benefit from them.
This made us think and speculate, and what kind of user interaction tool do we want? Many interesting ideas and solutions came to mind. Then it was decided to make a project in the field of feedback.
