Dear habrasociety, we invite everyone to test the Oracle Database Appliance equipment. ODA - one for the whole of Ukraine, brought by us as a demo at the beginning of the year. Thus, it is a unique complex that allows you to test the database on a living system. A brief info about the equipment, as well as the ability to send an application for testing, can be done under the habrakat.
In the announcement it was already said that such equipment is the only one in Ukraine. A few words, what is the uniqueness of this solution, and why it will be interesting for the test:
• ODA is the only solution that allows you to license not all available processor capacity for an Oracle database. This means that any other solution assembled from components will be either expensive (due to the cost of database licenses), or have low power and require a change in equipment over time, which is much more expensive. Unlike ODA, where, having received immediately 24 processor cores, we can buy from 2 licenses and add them, increasing capacity.
• A complete database machine, in a cluster of 2 nodes and storage, with triple (!) Data backup in 4 units. Thus, we add any application server and get a complete solution in 5 units
• The shortest time for commissioning - not 2-3 months (selection, purchase, assembly, configuration, debugging, etc.) - only 2-3 weeks, the deployment of the system (cluster, database) with almost one command.
Please note that the equipment is involved in projects, therefore, it is necessary to take into account the workload schedule.
