Many-armed Shiva GALAXY S III
Good day, Habr!
Traveling around the Internet, we came across a curious video demonstrating the not-so-traditional capabilities of the flagship smartphone Samsung GALAXY S III, which many of you probably did not know about before. The 30-minute video demonstrates how, where and why you can connect a USB HUB, keyboard, mouse, flash drives, external hard drives, joysticks and other useful accessories to your smartphone. The video is in English, so below we have prepared a description of all the illuminated devices.
1) USB Host. Samsung GALAXY S III has a cable for removable media, through which you can connect external devices via USB Host. Thanks to this adapter, you can easily pick up a card reader, flash drive, digital camera, even a keyboard or mouse. Finally, from a flash drive you can fully transfer music, photos, videos and other content that is dear to your heart to a smartphone, or you can not transfer it: view information directly from the media.
2) Ability to connect an external hard drive. It is likely that the information will load a little longer than under normal conditions, due to the large amount of content, but, after the smartphone determines the media, the video from it is played without problems / brakes.
3) USB HUB. This is a handy device with multiple ports. In the video they picked him up: an external hard drive of 500 GB, a flash drive of 32 GB and a wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad, which makes it possible to take complete control of the smartphone.
4) USB Audio and an external speaker allow you to listen to music loudly, clearly and in decent quality.
5) Connect the PS3 controller! A pleasant moment: after connecting, it is detected automatically. The video shows how, with the help of the controller and the FPse emulator program (emulator of the Sony PlayStation One game console), you can comfortably plunge into games such as, for example, Tekken.
6) Next, connect the XBoX 360 controller. It is not automatically detected, but there is a USB / BT Joystick Center application on the Android market that scans and finds the controller, after which it can be fully used.
7) MHL micro USB BM adapter (HDMI interface cable). With it, you can display photos and videos in HD or any other content on a high-definition TV. It is enough to insert a power cable with a micro-USB connector into the adapter, pick up a standard HDMI cable and voila: an HD picture on a large screen. You can also use the smartphone’s camera, while it is connected to the TV, and cut into your favorite games.
IMPORTANT!The video uses the old MHL-HDMI adapter EIA2UHUNBECSTD (suitable for Samsung GALAXY S II and GALAXY Note). He will not work with the GALAXY S III due to technical
features (another pinout of the connector). A new adapter for these needs is already on sale: EPL-3FHUBEGSTD.
8) A user-friendly keyboard designed specifically for Android. She is pleased with the presence of "hot keys" that significantly speed up and simplify the workflow.
9) And for dessert, we have a Wii Remote Control. Together with the N64 prefix emulator, it gives you the opportunity to play the good old-school games of dense childhood.
Such a “multi-armed Shiva” is obtained at the exit from the flagship Samsung GALAXY S III, if you use its potential and accessories to the fullest. Go ahead, but keep in mind that the accessories mentioned in the video are not original, therefore, you act at your own peril and risk.
