Google will sell tablets through the online store

According to the Wall Street Journal, Google plans to sell Android tablets directly through its own online store. This step will be taken to increase sales of Android tablets, which are still very far from iPad sales.
According to WSJ, tablets will be made by Asus and Samsung, but there is a likelihood of the release of branded tablets from Google itself.
There is no pricing information yet, but Google may subsidize tablet prices, which will also enable them to compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire from Amazon and the Barnes & Noble Android Nook Tablet, which cost $ 199.
Google has already tried this approach with smartphones when it sold the Google Nexus phone through its own online store, but abandoned it after disappointing sales.
The latter fact alone makes it unlikely that Google will use the same approach again, but recent rumors that Google is working on a cheap tablet make the WSJ message believable. If the sources of the publication are correct, then Google will open a store this year.
