Dear Habr-users, on April 2, 2012 in Moscow at the Digital October Conference Center (6 Bersenevskaya Embankment) at 18:00 there will be a meeting with employees of the Badoo development office in Moscow , where we will answer questions from the audience (at least one and a half hours).
The event will be held within the framework of the Russian Internet Technologies conference , and the conference organizers made free admission specially for Badoo , so that everyone can come, participation in the conference is not required.
As part of this meeting, a Q & A session is planned on Badoo architecture and technology,
as well as their own open-source projects that Badoo opens to the developer community.
The program includes a speech by the head of development Yevgeny Sokolov, answers to technical and near-technical questions by the company's employees, and the closing remarks by technology director Alexei Rybak. For lovers of gifts, we will also hold the iPad 3 draw (in order to participate in the draw you will need to have a working phone with you).
Also in the framework of RIT ++ we will make two reports. The first one is dedicated to release management in Badoo, we’ll talk about which deployment scheme we came up with, how we implemented it, how we connected the state of the code with the tracking system (jira), how the version control system (git) was changed and honed under the deployment. The report will also include a small technical excursion into the technologies and utilities that we used before and developed for the new deployment scheme. The second report is devoted to common database application errors. This will be a visionary report in which we will scold and praise the classic relational DBMS, NoSQL and other data management systems, as well as tell you what and in which cases it is better to use.
