4 reasons not to hide text from copying

Recently, theft of content has become quite popular. Some are saved with captions like: “When copying materials from the site, a clickable and indexed link to the source must be mandatory.”, And some put various plugins, or add pieces of unnecessary JavaScript code.
Let's look at 4 reasons why you should not hide text from copying.

1. RSS feed

If the script on the site is able to cover the text, then the RSS feed is not always. In order to copy the text from the tape, you must go there. If you are on a site, for example: site.ru, add to the name / feed, together it should look like this: site.ru/feed. Then just copy the fragments of the text you need.

2. Source code

Again, if in the previous version the script in some cases could affect copying. Then in this case, nothing will be closed.
  1. We open the website from which we want to copy the text;
  2. We look at its source code by pressing Ctrl + U;
  3. Use Crtl + F to open the search and enter the fragment from the closed text there;
  4. We copy those drains in which there is a need.

3. JavaScript

Copying text occurs by right-clicking and Ctrl + C, another option is the same, only instead of using the keyboard we press the left mouse button and copy. The essence of this process is that with each press, a process occurs. And the most common way to suppress the standard operation of these processes are JavaScript functions. The most interesting is the fact that JS is processed on the client side. And you can easily disable its processing on your browser.
Find the option “Enable JavaScript” in the browser settings and uncheck the box. Now go to the site where the texts were closed from copying and take everything you need.

4. Image to text

This method of stealing content is the longest, but the most effective. There are very rare cases when scripts are used on the site, programs that, after writing the material, automatically process it into an image. In fact, such a move is a little incomprehensible to me. After all, then it turns out that the site will not have text at all, what will the search engines say? As they say: "I myself will not dare, and I will not give it to another." Well, okay, if all the same you got to such a site, then the first three methods can be immediately discarded. And go to the fourth:
  1. First we need to go to the desired site;
  2. Take a screenshot by pressing the PrintScreen key;
  3. Gently cut the text from the screenshot and save;
  4. Now you need to use any program that can recognize text from an image. Now one of the popular programs is FineReader, as an option you can use it. There are also many online services where you can also very quickly convert text from images (www.onlineocr.ru for example);
  5. After the conversion, we get text that can be used for any needs.

Perhaps this list is not complete, but knowing all 4 methods, you can easily bypass any system, which prevents us from copying text.
