Congo created their own tablet PC
Creating tablet computers is becoming an increasingly profitable business, in light of the ever-growing popularity of these devices. Now there are so many varieties of tablets that there is hardly a person who can name all the models of tablets existing on the market. But more recently, to list various tablets, fingers on both hands would be enough. The Chinese are especially active in this area, and their devices are getting better every month. Now, African companies have decided to join the development of tablets.
It turns out that there is such a VMK company in Congo (has anyone heard of such a company?), And in June this company announced its intention to release its own tablet. Even a few photos of the device were presented, and it was stated that it would work on the basis of Gingerbread. In general, there were not many people who believed in the imminent appearance of such a device, but now no one doubts. VMK has released this tablet.
In general, there is nothing particularly remarkable in it, besides the fact that this device was not made in China, but in Africa. A 7-inch display, a processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory, available to the user. In addition, there are wireless modules. The cost of the device is quite high, especially if you take into account not too outstanding characteristics of the device. The price of VMK Way-C is $ 300. I wonder who in Congo or Kenya can afford such a device?
VMK Way-C will only appear in African countries, including Congo, Kenya, Senegal, Gabon and some others. The sales start date is October 2011. If anyone will be in Africa at this time, in one of the indicated countries, he can purchase a device and make it a review for Habr :-)
