
New logo for Linux 3.1
On the occasion of the upcoming release of the Linux 3.1 kernel, IBM's Derik Wong proposed changing the Tux logo to a more suitable version number:

Just in case, I’ll recall the logo of one operating system released 19 years ago:

Moreover, the likelihood of a logo change is not entirely zero: in Linux 2.6.29 in 2009, Tux was replaced by a Tasmanian devil called “Tuz” to “support efforts to save [the animal] from extinction due to the devil’s facial tumor.”
