Modular transportation system or 1 wheel per person
Thinking about the fate of the development of civilization, after a short chain of reasoning about the inevitable development of all related technologies necessary for the comfortable and safe transportation of people and goods at any distance, I came to the conclusion that we have all the technologies to start thinking about a radical change in the concept of transport now.

We have the concept of modular transportation of goods, but while the problem is not solved comprehensively, it covers a small part of the tasks of expensive container transportation of sea and land cargo.
The solution, of course, is, or will be, because there is or will be a reason for its generation. We need to approach the problem from the systemic, informational side, so that then we can distribute the obtained solutions (sub-tasks) to various industries.
A ball of tasks - indeed, rather big and all-encompassing. That is why we begin to discuss related issues not somewhere at the state level (the task is far from setting sub-tasks and solutions), not at the science fiction forum (all technologies for sub-tasks are now), not among loafers (the goal is not a conversation, but a solution ), and here, in the environment of information technology. Moreover, half of the tasks will be related to the processing of information processes and will not leave the framework of the information industry.
We have a lot of ways of moving people, objects and goods.
Starting from the pockets of jackets and jackets, ending with cruise liners. This refers to all transport, from mail and couriers to passenger. The problem is that a tangle of solutions to these issues now takes a lot of time and money from society, from each of us, instead of solving the problem comprehensively, to unify the production and service processes of each element of the process.
Flow from the solution, I immediately notice interesting results. For starters, I will list them.
Key words : module, salon, car.
* Cars will become collapsible, modular. Each module provides its own function - wheel, wall, body (interior), engine.
* Salons are assembled into modules for transporting goods or people in their entrails - the regime of container transportation or a “compartment car” is being executed.

* Unused modules during group transportation are disconnected and used locally for their intended purpose in other transportation.
* As a result, there is no need for individual modules belonging to a person or family. All modules are available for general use. Which does not exclude the opposite - personal salons, wheels, car walls. It does not exclude the inseparability of the machine, but all this increases the cost of operation and the ability to use the future infrastructure or its specific parts.
* Car interior as a temporary home of varying degrees of comfort. Hotels and cars from temporary assembly salons.
* Cabin Standard - The standard of the container for transportation.
* (Video surveillance solves issues of hacking, thefts while decreasing the weight of the walls - this is not a surprising question, but to make the concept of the solution understandable - it is solved in close connection with IT.)
* There is no need for parking if there are no cars. The cabin modules bring people and goods to the ports of the premises (parking lots), where they simply move people and goods to their homes. Next - the door closes, and there is no car until the next need for it.
* Parking is a door to a dwelling the size of the wall of the passenger compartment (approximately half the height of the dwelling). In multi-story buildings, this is obviously the elevator door. For large loads, a full (double) height door is also provided.
* Transportation of furniture and goods from the home is no less simple, as well as people - through the parking door.
* The walls of the machine serve as heat and sound insulation and design solution. They can complement and expand the interior, design a multi-seat interior from modules.
* The most interesting. Joining salons to a public carriage is performed while the car is moving. A wagon can be either a simple assembly of modules with a minimum common frame, an analogue of cars for transporting cars, but a more compact layout, or an analogue of a bus (part of the wheels of cars are used for movement), or a separate room on its wheels (analogue of a train). In this case, the cabin is disconnected after the passage of passengers or the movement of goods, and the gateways are ready for the next connection of the modules. Thus, a fast-moving car does not need to stop to accept passengers or goods, and they need to use their car for the whole trip. Docking salons-modules to the gateways is possible at any time.
* The assembly of salons into a “bus” is needed to save energy on moving (less air resistance), removing optional modules (walls, wheels) from the train, compact movement, moving passengers or goods between modules (sorting, logistics on the go), and using a large transport a tunnel with a section of 4 or 8 salons.

* Road - an optional place to move a single passenger compartment. The most convenient is a narrow tunnel (or autobahn) for moving over short distances, from 200 m to 2-5 km along a closed rail track. Pluses - cleanliness, environmental friendliness, high speed and throughput in the absence of movement in places of residence. Small dimensions of the tunnel in width and height (2 seats in width). Clearing the road through the gateway does not interfere with the movement of the next transport in the tunnel. In sparsely populated areas there is no need for a tunnel.
In general, from the theses, the general idea of implementation is already half understood. We have the standard size of the “bus”, which fits 5 people in width. So, taking into account the walls, we have the width of the passenger compartment - half of the modern bus. The height is also half the height of the bus, so the cabin modules are placed in 2 floors.
How modules on 2 floors will dock on the go - this is already a subtask. Its solution will give the described interesting possibilities of logistics. how walls and wheels are disconnected is also a sub-task, but to start the wheels you can leave them in their places. We also consider the engine of small sizes, electric or gasoline, but modularity is important in order to save the total use and simple modules of different functions.
In total, the movement of a passenger or cargo with a size and weight of 1-5 passengers is presented as follows. Upon request, the nearest salon of the required quality moves to the door (or it is planned for the indicated time; there is no problem buying an individual salon and not leaving it the whole trip, always using it, paying for property or placing it in your apartment (2 by 4 meters - not so a lot), driving it empty between your co-users you know is the whole question of the amount of costs). He waits, as long as necessary, for the customer, there are optimal times for connecting with trains, if the trips are long and leave the cabin, but otherwise there is no tension in use. The customer pays for the fact of use with all the resulting micropayments.
Micropayments are calculated honestly, otherwise there will be no such progress - transport is for everyone, and everyone will not pay a triple or more price compared to the alternative. Therefore, costs should be minimal and efficient. This is another sub-task - to ensure honest micropayments. So far, you can train on a system with mobile operators (the topic of a large separate article), then switch to transport.

Further - for the trip customer (passenger), everything is very simple. He knows how he will go and what he will be asked to do on the road if he has to switch from salon to salon (recall that for simplicity, he can order a trip in the cabin continuously, from door to door and sleep on the road, wake up outdoors, back in the evening - difference in the bill). He can follow the movement, communicate with others by phone, change plans, choosing a different route - there will be no catastrophic increase in costs, because there are no real costs. I didn’t go further - transport is easier, costs are less, cost is also less. Ordering tickets is forgotten as a relic of the past. The system works for a person, and not vice versa. If you first work on competent system design ... Without the inherent fraud and legal incidents. In general, this is also a subtask,
Thus, without contradicting the laws of nature, a person or his cargo can smoothly flow from one place to another, proportionally to the covered distance and traffic difficulties. At the same time, a person does not deal with the road - he is completely engaged in his own affairs, occasionally being distracted by geography in case of change of plans.
With small loads it’s easier - they don’t need big elevators and big tunnels. But since they are there, then small loads can be thrown into the general stream of the tunnel, docking with the standard salons of "cars". Those. the task of transporting small loads will be solved auxiliary and have less energy consumption. In particular, it will be much more convenient to move the goods for viewing from the store than the buyer to the goods. And the store is the sum of containers with goods scattered at every moment around the world.
How to build a safe freight elevator with a cabin module is a task that has been generally solved. Only, given the mass nature, security should be higher.
Supervision and payments. The system involves the promotion of any crimes and a fair calculation, otherwise it simply will not exist. Rather, it will, but overhead costs with guards and thick cargo containers will hit your pocket so that it’s better to arrange monitoring and analysis of the actions of individuals on the freeways than to pay for steel walls and the damage caused. Well, it may not be soon, but you need to know the path before you go along it?

Ecology and comfort. It is done for the sake of ecology and comfort. In order not to increase the volume of parking and roads, the time of queues, the path to transport and the mass of unnecessary non-systemic expenses - escalators, services, workers, a number of models of unstable non-modular cars. With a cheaper and faster system, they themselves will become unprofitable.
I think we should start with micropayments without predatory commissions in simple trading calculations, with a communication and video logistics system (to ensure the monitoring of the delivered goods), with the construction of a modular vehicle assembled on the go into a bus. The latter is key, but success in the world is very small. Just look at what they write on the topic of “modular transportation”. Nevertheless, what can be thought up more logical and obvious than such a transport system, and not more and more powerful car parks and flows of individual cars?
