Report on the master classes held on March 26
Good day!
As promised, we had a second python and django workshop last Saturday. It was a lot of interesting things.
First mate prefer examined and showed the audience the main programming paradigms. Then the audience went deeper into the functional programming approach, and examined the main differences from the imperative approach. The next step, the students got acquainted with the functional style in python: lambda expressions, lazy calculations, closures, generators and higher-order functions.

Then came the turn of OOP: the mysterious world of classes, encapsulation and polymorphism opened up before those present. Various class examples were considered: static, with multiple inheritance (when this is useful), a method overload mechanism, and an abstract method mechanism. The presentation can be found on the Internet .
After a short break, comrade akvarats began a demonstration of creating a system on django, the report was not called by chance - "We are writing your youtube." In the process, an application was created on django from scratch with the ability to upload files and view them through a flv player.

We plan to continue the development of this portal, the next step will be a report on the topic: “User Registration”, where it will be realized the opportunity to choose a master class and sign up for it.
It is very pleasant that the number of people interested in python and django is growing: There

is a big room for newcomers and an even more interesting topic: Overview of the python IDE for web development. Will be considered: Aptana, PyCharm, Emacs and Vim. Mode: lightings talks - you cannot avoid holivars, come - it will be interesting.
More information about the venue can be found here.
