200 000 rubles - prize fund for the best mobile Qt application
I received first-hand information about a wonderful competition for developers, about which I gladly want to tell everyone.
A contest for developers of Qt applications has been announced.
Nokia announces a contest for developers on the best Russified application for the Symbian and MeeGo platforms, created using Qt tools. The competition is held within the framework of FRUCT, a university cooperation community actively supported by Nokia in Russia. The prize for the first place will be 100,000 rubles, for the second - 60,000 rubles and 40,000 rubles for third place. Entries are accepted until February 28, 2011.
If you are going to participate, then share ideas and thoughts about this in the comments. It is very interesting to know the opinions of potential participants.
Any Russian developer will be able to take part in the competition. Moreover, several applications from one developer or group can be submitted for consideration, in which case the applications will be considered independently of each other. Main conditions for participation: applications must be developed in Qt, localized under the Russian language and have a Russian-language interface, and also published in the Ovi Store.
Competition entries will be evaluated by a jury composed of industry experts and representatives of the FRUCT community. The winners will be announced on March 15, 2011.
More information about the competition, as well as the rules for participation, are available at fruct.org/winQt
