Registration on icq.com or how to find out your UIN?
As early as 2-3 weeks on icq.com, the process of registering a new UIN has slightly changed. If earlier, upon completion of registration, a letter was sent to the indicated mailing address, in which it was possible to find out the UIN, now everything has changed somewhat.
I go to www.icq.com/register and what I see.
The usual form for filling data. Name, surname, mailing address, password, date of birth and captcha. By the way, I note that registration will be possible only if all the data has been entered, and the password will contain not only Latin letters, but also at least one number.
So, all the data is entered, I received a letter to the mailbox, but the numbers are not!
Well, if Windows is on the computer, it’s not a problem to find out your number. You can go into the official client, and after a minute the treasured numbers are known. But what about linux users?
But not everything is lost - just log in to the site. Your profile number is written on the profile page. Or, you can look in the browser line, where there should be a link like www.icq.com/people ********* / (instead of the stars there will be the desired uin).
PS. In qutim, you cannot enter soap instead of numbers; in qip, you can.
