Traditional medicine for American iMobile
Everyone already knows that the iPhone is a very delicate gadget: it does not like to fall, it does not favor auto-charging, etc.
But, as it turned out, some of the "problems" can be treated in quite artisanal ways. I’ll tell you about two hints from personal experience ...
Problem 1. Charging the iPhone “leaks” too quickly or the phone does not turn off (instead, it reboots stupidly)
Faced this problem on the iPhone Original (first generation).
Solution:
- take a toothbrush and a little alcohol;
- turn off the phone (if the body allows itself to be turned off by holding the Power button, then do so; if the body does not turn off from the Power button, then we try to "cruelly" turn off the phone while holding Power + Home for 10 seconds);
- dip the toothbrush in alcohol and thoroughly clean the 30-pin connector;
- wait 15-20 minutes until the alcohol dries completely;
- turn on the phone and with a high degree of probability solve the problem.
PS In general, cleaning the 30-pin iPhone connector in this way is useful even in the absence of any problems ...
Problem 2. iPhone switches itself off spontaneously (regardless of charge level)
Faced this problem on the iPhone 3GS (more recently). Firmware 4.0.2, body from Italy (Pay & Go).
What happens: when the GSM module is activated (when talking or receiving / sending SMS) the phone suddenly turns off ... I
searched for a long and hard decision. Apple forums did not help. As a result, by trial and error, the problem was solved!
Solution:
- gently remove the SIM card;
- carefully clean the sim tray itself with alcohol;
- the contact part of the SIM card is also thoroughly cleaned with alcohol, even if visually the SIM card seems completely clean (I’ll immediately make a reservation: I have MTS, I can read a lot of interesting things about the quality of MTS SIM cards on the network);
- return the SIM card to the place and the problem is solved.
How the solution was found:
- when synchronizing the phone, all the logs from the phone are transferred to the computer, including the error logs (PC / MAC - not important);
- at his "seven" I went to the address C: \ Users \ gogalev \ AppData \ Roaming \ Apple Computer \ Logs \ CrashReporter \ MobileDevice \ iPhone Gogalev 3GS \ Baseband and opened the last file by date (the file format in the fourth firmware family changed again and Now it is like this: log-bb-2010-08-29-stats.log);
- looking at this log, I made sure that the problem arises precisely in the process of the GSM module operation;
- first began to sin on the 3G network; disconnected; the problem has not been resolved;
- pulled out a sim card; I cleaned it and the SIM tray; the problem has disappeared (I’ve been living without it for 2 weeks already).
If suddenly the problem recurs, I'll go change the SIM card ...
Such things.
