Thermaltake BlacX Duet - a cozy place for two HDDs

After buying a laptop, there was a problem - where to store information? The 320GB Winchester quickly ran out, and a couple of orphaned 3.5 HDDs were scattered around the house. First, a docking station for one hard drive was purchased. But two docking stations on the table is too much. And after that, I accidentally saw a docking station from a well-known manufacturer. So - Thermaltake BlacX Duet.

So, let's start with the packaging.

On the front side is a device, name, company logo - standard

info. On the sides, brief information about the device.

The reverse side of the package contains complete information about the device - a technical specification and a description of the main features of the device.

Opportunities (by the way in the word Feature - in my opinion a typo. If it’s wrong - correct me):

    Stuffing and equipment.

I was pleased how the device is packed. All wires in bags and in separate cardboard boxes. The docking station itself is rigidly fixed inside the box using password.

    Options:
    1. Docking station
    2. Any pieces of paper - manual, warranty (2 years)
    3. Power cable
    4. eSata and USB cables
    5. Two silicone cases - for 3.5 and 2.5 drives.

In the photo - not the whole set, since the docking station has already been used for about two months.

    Dock station.

The docking station is made of high quality plastic. It makes a pleasant sensation - after the Chinese "thing" that I had - heaven and earth.

At the station, one button - power. There is an activity indicator on it - one for each hard one. The indicators blink when accessing the hard drive.

On the reverse side of the dock are connectors - eSata, USB, power.

    Own feelings

I really liked the device. It stands on the same table with a laptop - vibration is not felt, almost no noise. Although the noise level depends on the hard drives.

    Total

    pros

    Good packaging
    Silicone cases included
    Lack of noise and vibration
Relatively low price (at the time of purchase 1200r)
One of the few docking stations for two hard drives

    Minuses

I did not find any cons, except I wanted the power to be turned off separately for each screw, and not for both at once. And there are also rumors that the operation of two screws simultaneously through eSata requires support for Port Multiplier.
