The book will serve as an excellent gift, the box (designed for an ordinary thick book) was very pleased
(here and hereinafter the photos are not mine)

Open.

Inside the book itself (and included), inside the box there were instructions, a lanyard, a 220volt-> yusb adapter, pretty good headphones with volume controls, a 2GB SD card, a lanyard on the arm and a nice leatherette cover.

Now consider the device itself
DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS
The book is issued in 6 cet solutions - black, yellow, red, green, blue, white.

My choice fell on the white. The book lies very well in the hand, pleased with the quality of the plastic and leatherette on the cover. The buttons are tight in moderation, they won’t press themselves, but you don’t need to make special efforts to press them. The location is quite interesting - there is a four-way joystick on the lower right, around which there are 4 L-shaped buttons - “Menu”, “OK”, “BACK” and “PLAYER”. They have such a shape so that they would be equally convenient to press in both the horizontal and vertical orientation of the book.
On the same panel, but only slightly to the left are the display rotation button and font change button. On the left along the screen are buttons 0-9, "M".

On the left side of the case is a slider, as on older Sony devices. Wildly pleased.

At the top there is a slot for an SD card, a USB port and a shutdown button, which, according to the developers, should be used very, very rarely, from below there is a microphone, speaker and a 3.5 jack slot.
We turn on the
power button in this device is unlikely to be shaken-developers rarely ask to use it due to the fact that "all the settings of the RAM in this case are reset" (I quote the developer's site). The clock here also refers to RAM and in this regard, it is also reset when turned off. The problem of turning off simply is solved; developers are advised not to turn off the book, because the e-inc screen does not eat the battery if the image is static.
the turned on device looks like this

The menu, as can be seen from the screen, is quite understandable and easy to manage.
Immediately I had to flash, due to the fact that the preinstalled software lagged behind the current state of affairs for a very long time.
The screen pleased, the eyes do not get tired
for comparison.

In general, the device pleases with its design, ergonomics and thoughtfulness. The site is Russified, everything is quite simple and clear. It's a shame that there is no telephone support in Russia (only in Kiev), and our prices are far from the stated prices.
On the Internet I found a Chinese progenitor of the ABC, a piece of Hanvon N510 piece of iron.

On its base a book was built. It differs from Ukrainians only in software, but according to witnesses, it is possible to reflash it with the "ABC" firmware.
TOTAL
In the end, we can say that a good device for your money. Pays off relatively quickly, eyes do not get tired from reading.
