Ubuntu 9.10 and Blue Screen Disease
I was going to watch a movie here in an updated ubunt, and I got a pretty psychedelic picture (of course, these colors were suitable for a particular artist as well, but I felt that something was wrong here).

At first I thought that it was vlc, but in my native Totem the same mutoten was happening with flowers. After that I got into nvidia-settings in order to torment the colors, but nothing really helped, except for tearing up the Hue slider. In principle, this crutch worked, but it suggested that in the right applications the colors would float away.
The only post on the ubuntu forums was saved from reinstalling the drivers or their complete rollback .

And hard, by the way, read normally =)

And it was like that
After upgrading to 9.10, I didn’t have to go into it very often - I mostly sat under the seven, but for some reason Windows didn’t want to read the Seigate external hard drive (this is a separate story, I didn’t understand what the problem was), but since I copied the data If it was desperately needed, I decided to check the disk in ubunt. At first I thought that it was vlc, but in my native Totem the same mutoten was happening with flowers. How to treat
It turns out that after the update, for some reason, the color settings in Totem were lost, which magically spoiled the picture in all players. Just go to the image settings (Edit -> Preferences -> Display) and reset everything to default (or move the Hue slider in the center). This will fix the picture both in the Totem and in the other players:
PS
I don’t know if this applies only to the Nvidia drivers, or if all the color flies during the update, but this fact surprised me greatly. And hard, by the way, read normally =)
