Three of the best auto racing

What to take hands away from home or work if they are already busy with an iPhone. The answer is simple to download and play games. I love racing. Honestly, I was rather skeptical about the first races for an iPhone, because for good races you need at least buttons, and preferably a steering wheel with pedals. The iPhone itself is a steering wheel, my regular hero will object - an attentive reader. Now imagine that in your car you need to hold the steering wheel in your hands, not attached to anything, and turn it like that. Weird! So game developers and Apple himself suggest doing just that.

Despite all the inconveniences of games in the Racing genre for iPhones, there are already countless numbers of them - you can chase almost everything, from motorbikes and aquabikes to obscene spaceships.

    Need For Speed Undercover

EA just couldn't do badly. EA did well, only very arcade. The good old racing times have returned again: the car goes along a rut, the track only slightly changes direction, it is completely impossible to turn onto an adjoining street. But you can go into a drift, slow down the course of time, buy new cars, engage in their tuning. Dynamic and exciting gameplay is provided. The main plus of NFSU is the amazing level of graphics. Compared to other games, it seems that EA has simply stepped over the line. Before NFSU, no one had such graphics.

Bottom line: exciting arcade racing for 4-5 days.

    Fastlane street racing

These are the first normal races to appear in the AppStore. All the previous ones were complete bullshit. Very difficult, but no less exciting race. Many cars, though completely unrealistic, albeit vaguely reminiscent of the appearance of some very expensive sports cars. On the other hand, where do independent developers get the money for licensing real models. However, all machines are significantly different from each other.

In the main game mode - arcade, as usual you chase your opponents along different tracks that open as you progress through the game. In the second mode, you become an opponent yourself: you need to drive the track without touching the barriers, have time to drive the right number of laps and catch up with the opponent. All for a while.

At the very beginning, you have to be patient for just a couple of hours, get used to the controls, get into the spirit of the game, and you will be provided with several weeks of exciting racing. For those who want to feel the game for free there is a light version .

Bottom line: cool races with interesting physics for a couple of weeks.

    Firemint realracing

The latest game in the top three. The name of the game is not accidental at all, the company Fiery Mint tried to squeeze out the maximum realism of the apple phone. In contrast to realism, the game has the ability to enable a virtual assistant that will help slow down at the right time, which is very useful for beginners. All arrivals take place on the ring tracks. Cars are divided into several classes and, as was the case in Fastlane RealRacing, they are similar to real-life models, but they are called somehow strange.

RealRacing is not accidentally in last place. As a race, it is just beautiful, but it’s unlikely to be called exciting and varied. For very boring people, there’s even a view from the cab with a steering wheel and appliances. It should also be noted that these are the only races from the list that are developing - while I was writing this review, another fourth class of cars appeared in the game: a trifle, but nice.

Bottom line: for racing fans - for six months.

All other car races in the AppStore to say the least are not very high-quality - ask for a free Lite version before buying, so you won’t be disappointed later.

PS The steering wheel for an iPhone in the opening picture is not my personal nonsense, but a real product .
