A few weeks ago , the Google Source of Discoveries project launched at www.google.com/yamogu . The goal of the project is to show Internet users what opportunities Google services offer them. A Google search, for example, is both a calculator and a currency converter , and the ability to use a simple search query to get a weather report in 3631 cities of the world or the schedule of the nearest movie theater , and finally find out what a collider is . And with the help of Google Maps, you can literally fly above the ground and view your house from a bird's eye view , and immediately after that move to Paris andtake a virtual trip around the Eiffel Tower or take a stroll through the Prado Museum , glancing at Madrid for half an hour. And these are just a few examples of how interesting and useful it is to have fun, study or work using Google services, discovering new opportunities.
The site has already been visited by more than 200 thousand people! Now there are more than 50 examples from Google and more than 20 from users. It seems to us that each of you has its own story related to Google. Google is the whole world! A world where you can find your soul mate by asking the question “how many years have ants lived on average”, as happened with andrei vvs, or becoming a star like Kremen, thanks to a clip that he shot and posted on YouTube. Here you canmanage a company from a laptop without leaving your home, as b.gnatyuk does, or show a friend a way in an unfamiliar city, sitting at home at a computer , using Google Maps, like LaysMan. All these are real stories of our users. Share both yours and thanks to you, many Russian-speaking Internet users will learn more about Gmail, Chrome, Translator, Maps and Picasa, and you may become famous! After all, we do not want to be limited to the Internet. We want people to discover about your discoveries, who now may not even know what it is, the Internet.
There is a simple form on www.google.com/yamogu that will allow you to do this! Do not forget to attach the photo so that you can brag to your friends :-)
Thanks in advance for participating! We are really looking forward to your stories with users!
