Android G1 Reviews
Good day to all!
I thought the other day about buying such a sensational Android G1.
But I’m not used to taking a pig in a poke.
Therefore, I would like to see reviews of this device from its owners in the comments on this topic.
How much in real conditions does the battery hold? How is the screen quality? Really MultiTouch? The “Slider” (I don’t know what else to call it) mechanism doesn’t break loose over time? (Something I have a suspicion about the reliability of such a form factor). How comfortable is the keyboard? What applications are you missing for this platform? How is the quality of communication in Russian networks? How hard is it to unlock it?
In general, I would like to see as much information as possible about the operation of the device in real operating conditions.
Thank you all in advance for your time.
UPD
Thanks tum0rc0re for the answers:
1) How much does the battery hold in real conditions?
A day and a half, sometimes two. Watching what to do on it. And what hardware features are included (GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
2) How is the screen quality?
Great, everything is bright and beautiful
3) Really MultiTouch?
In G1 it is not there, of course there was news that some enthusiast there added some class in the source code and a miserable semblance of multitouch appeared, but it isn’t there.
4) The “Slider” (I don’t know what else to call it) mechanism doesn’t break loose over time? (Something I have a suspicion about the reliability of such a form factor).
He’s breaking up, well, that is, it can be seen that he is staggering, but he is holding on normally, he doesn’t bother me yet. The main thing to carry in a case, and not just in your pocket.
5) How comfortable is the keyboard?
Very convenient, printing is really convenient
6) What applications do you miss for this platform?
I still do not have enough normal FB2-readers, those that are still not stable work
7) How is the quality of communication in Russian networks?
Normal
8) How difficult is it to unlock it?
You pay the loot and they give you an IMEI code, it's simple. If you use MTS in Russia or Beeline in Ukraine, then unlocking is not required
