Coloring text for easier and faster reading
Having read all sorts of photo readings and speed readings, an idea occurred to me. It may not be new, but I came up with it =) What if I color the text so that it is easier to read? For example, take 3 colors - light gray, dark gray and black. Light gray color “water”, dark gray - important information. Black - only the most important and basic thought.
A person chooses the level of perception of information for himself - either simply wants to know briefly the conclusion of the topic, or with details but only the most important, or read everything. Even if he chooses the latter, he will be able to read by sliding. The lighter the text, the faster you can run through it with your eyes.
Those who own the techniques of quick reading is probably useless.
What do you think of it? I am very interested in your opinion
As an example, I painted a copy-paste article from the Habr. For the sake of the experiment, you can read it quickly - only dark fragments. And then everything. And compare.
Experts at TNS, an international research company, have found that SMS and email on a mobile phone are gradually losing their popularity. Non-voice communication is now increasingly based on instant messaging. According to the study (PDF), which was attended by 17 thousand respondents from 30 countries, among mobile phone owners using instant messaging services, 61% prefer this method of communication, 55% use SMS and only 12% use electronic mail.
Of course, these figures are very subjective (the question was specially “tailored” to illustrate the thesis: it was the active IM users who were polled). In reality, IM is still very far from the popularity of SMS, but despite this, the trend is still present: the number of IM messages is really growing, and the popularity of SMS is gradually decreasing.
Today, 11 out of 100 messages sent from mobile phones or personal computers around the world are instant messages. Moreover, for fans of this type of communication, this number increases to 36 out of 100 messages, and the communication method itself is the main form of non-voice communication. On the other hand, the number of SMS sent by instant messengers fell from 38 to 23 out of 100 messages.
The use of e-mail in this category of mobile phone owners is also below the average: 21 messages out of 100 are sent by e-mail by adherents of instant messaging services, the rest resort to this method of transmitting information more often (31 messages out of 100).
The choice of IM instead of SMS is quite logical: “As soon as the owners of mobile phones gain access to the Internet and are able to use instant messaging services, the cost of text messages decreases sharply and tends to almost zero, since in this case users pay only for traffic, and the messages themselves they do not cost anything. In addition, a large number of people are used to communicating via instant messaging services via the Internet on personal computers, so they are very willing to switch to similar communication on their mobile phones. And as more and more mobile operators offer their customers unlimited access to the Internet, we can confidently talk about the further increase in the popularity of instant messages and the decreasing role of SMS and e-mail messages, ”TNS experts explain.
Today, around the world, using instant messaging on a mobile phone, 8% of people communicate. Such communication is most popular in Hong Kong, where this figure reaches 23%. This is followed by China (16%), Saudi Arabia (15%), South Africa (12%), India (11%) and Brazil (10%). In Russia, the number of mobile phone owners who prefer to use instant messaging services for non-voice communication is still 3%.
ps I probably painted it not optimally. something unnecessary was highlighted, and the right one was skipped. I just wanted to set an example. waiting for comments.
