Tankpitstop Refueling Robot

At the gas stations in Holland, by the end of the year, perhaps the first of its kind gas station robot will appear.

For a lot of money (about 75 thousand euros) that Tankpitstop automatic “hand” costs, the owner of the gas station will get the opportunity not to hire a kid or queen of a gas station, but to provide the refueling process to the mechanism. Which can open the car tank (by unscrewing the lid) and carefully insert the refueling gun into the tank.

Behind all the mechanical actions of Tankpitstop, there is a computerized system that determines the brand of the car and, as a result, the volume of its gas tank and the fuel on which it (the car) operates at the entrance to the gas station.

I’m not sure that all owners of gas stations will decide to entrust the work of customer service to the robot right away. But an automated device in itself deserves attention. First in the world, after all.
