How much controversy was about Lyme 's cross-platformness . How many people suggested, convinced and proved that Lyme should be cross-platform.

But not really. For cross-platform, it will be necessary to bring our program to some “average” form, from which it will lose terribly, and users of all platforms will not be satisfied.
The disadvantage of any cross-platform (albeit the only one) is an inevitable decrease in performance (it can be both significant and not very depending on the quality of the code), as well as a violation of, say, interface agreements when transferring from the main OS to another.
We do not want this. Main quality. We need everything to work the way we want. It’s like a website in different browsers. In FF, one thing in IE is different.
