Bluetooth coming soon

BluetoothThe organization Bluetooth Special Interest Group in full force left autographs under the main specifications of the new version of Bluetooth - Version 2.1 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate). There are not so many differences from version 2.0, but they are. So the hardware manufacturers had a good reason to soon submit old devices with a new sauce, attracting users with new features.

So, in the new revision of the Bluetooth interface, developers especially note the following features. Firstly, the process of pairing devices will be simplified and reduced to a minimum number of necessary actions. Secondly, there will be the ability to automatically connect audio devices (for example, headphones). Thirdly, there will be more reliable protection against external attacks. Fourth, the energy-saving system will be significantly advanced, so in some cases the duration of the devices will be significantly increased. But with speed, apparently, no changes will occur. Alas.

It sounds promising. It remains only to wait for the first devices with support for Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.
