Microsoft issued a new fine

The trouble came from where they did not expect: Microsoft will have to pay a fine in favor of Alcatel-Lucent. But not for the fact that she did not want to give her access to information about her products for nothing, but for violating patents owned by Alcatel-Lucent.

The amount of the fine, which was announced by a judge of the Federal District Court in San Diego, will be no less than $ 1.53 billion. And the Windows Media Player program “dealt with patent infringement.”

Alcatel-Lucent says they are satisfied with this decision. Still they would be unhappy. However, Microsoft plans to appeal the court verdict.
