YouTube is ready to advertise in user videos
Next week, the YouTube video site should introduce the long-awaited and discussed option to enrich its users. This was reported by the online publication Variety with reference to Howard Lindzon - the founder of Wallstrip, which publishes its videos on the most famous video site in the world.
It is assumed that when a clip is uploaded, users will be prompted to embed a commercial in it. Profit from viewing the resulting plot will be divided in half between the site and the author of the video.
This step, apparently, will be another attempt to check whether you can make money on YouTube. Analysts estimate the profit from it for 2006 at only $ 15 million, while it was acquired for $ 1.65 billion. It is ironic, but true: Google so far has no idea how to make money on its expensive toy.
