The ship was unable to reach the calculated orbit due to the insufficient operating time of the engine of the third stage of the launch vehicle (RD-0110 produced by the Voronezh chemical automation bureau ), according to Roskosmos experts. “If this happens in 150 seconds before separation, then it’s hard to expect anything else. The last time a similar situation was observedwith the Progress M-27M ship in May 2015. Then the ship also went into unplanned orbit and was lost. One of the reasons for the failure in 2015 was called the incorrect development of the third stage. During the flight, the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket was used.
