Federal Bailiffs Service (FSSP) announced an estimate of the cost of installing a free GosLinux operating systemin the units of bailiffs in 70 regions of the Russian Federation. Today it is the most successful and large-scale project on the migration of Russian government agencies from Windows to Linux.
So, for 2013-2015, the development, implementation, maintenance, certification, revision and three inspection controls cost 19.155 million rubles (including directly development and certification - 5 million rubles). Another 2 million rubles spent on training administrators. As a result, the cost of one installed version of GosLinux cost less than 1,500 rubles.
For comparison, the cost of licensed Microsoft programs for the same number of computers is 794 million rubles, according to Microsoft partners.
Such figures were named at the workshop on import substitution by the deputy director of the FSSP Tatyana Ignatieva.
“At the moment, GosLinux is installed on 16 thousand workplaces and on 660 servers of the service. By the end of the year due to the fact that we set ourselves the task not only in the form of declarations and goals, but also fixed the decision on our annual board, we are going to bring the implementation rate to 50%, thereby reducing the unit cost of one version to about 800 rubles ", - said Ignatieff.
In the above assessment of the cost of Microsoft products, the cost of a perpetual license for Windows Proffesional 8.1 + Microsoft Office Standart 2013 RUS OLP is calculated. 2500 servers with certification packages.
