Today the head of the Police Workers Union, Mikhail Pashkin, suggested that the Ministry of Internal Affairs either buy out the Telegram messenger from its creator Pavel Durov, or create its own reliable messenger, Russian News Service writes . He believes that official correspondence should be conducted on special certified and sealed computers, as well as on special phones. Currently, technology is simply not enough.
“Our service systems are virtually unprotected. If you drive up to any department with special devices - they are not very expensive - then you can read all the conversations, everything that is stored on the service computers. Because the protection class is almost zero. This is the trouble of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ”said Pashkin.
The head of the trade union organization also said that due to the lack of protected technology, they had to communicate using conventional means of communication. And this is already fraught with punishment by the inspection bodies. “... the inspector discovered that you went online — that's it, come here! Right up to the dismissal,” Pashkin commented on the situation. He expressed confidence that the ban on the use of instant messengers will not be implemented, otherwise the staff will not be able to fully exchange operational information .
His statement Mikhail Pashkin made after appearedorder to ban the exchange of information on the work using a number of instant messengers and social networks for police officers. The ban touched Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp and Skype, as well as social networks Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, plus mail services Gmail.com, mail.ru, rambler.ru.
At the same time, the chairman of the Security Committee of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, a member of the Public Council under the State Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moscow, Anton Tsvetkov is surethat the post of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should have become the only means of communication for the exchange of service information. In his opinion, the level of protection of this mail service is much higher than that of instant messengers. “We understand that it is possible to open any network, the question is who can do it and with what efforts. But the level of her [mail MVD - approx. Ed.] security is certainly higher, ”stressed Tsvetkov.
