Video: Epson unveils Moverio BT-300 smart glasses at MWC 2016

Epson augmented reality goggles should brighten up the ride on an exercise bike and make the process of controlling drones more interesting. The company introduced the new BT-300 at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.

Si-OLED technology should provide a deeper black color. The gadget is built on a four-core Intel Atom 5 processor with a frequency of 1.44 GHz and runs on Android 5.1. A 5-megapixel camera was added to the device instead of VGA. The battery should last for 6 hours.

New glasses weigh a third lighter than the previous generation - 60 grams. For comparison, the Moverio BT-100s released in 2011 weighed 220 grams, while the 2014 BT-200 weighed 88 grams.

    The gadget will cost around $ 700- $ 800.
