The Ripple Maker 3D printer transfers the desired image or text onto the surface of the coffee foam
Welcome to our readers on the iCover Blog Pages ! The benefits of some technological innovations, from time to time interwoven into our lives, are that they help us and our friends cheer up. One of these original features was offered by Stream CC, which created the Ripple Maker 3D printer, which allows you to transfer short fragments of text, pictures or photos from your smartphone to the surface of the coffee foam in a matter of seconds.

The art of creating intricate patterns on the surface of the coffee foam is mastered by units. In addition, the complexity of the applied images is greatly limited, both by the application technology and by the capabilities of even the most talented barista. That was just recently. With the advent of Ripple Maker, using patented 3D technology - printing on coffee foam, these problems are a thing of the past.
The creators of Ripple Maker proposed to add fresh notes to the ritual of absorbing their favorite drink and print small text fragments, funny pictures, selfies and other photos up to 180 mm x 95 mm in size directly onto the foam with pre-brewed coffee. The machine itself is quite compact - the dimensions of the Ripple are only 210 x 270 x 495 (w x d x h) mm.

The library is accessed with images divided into thematic subgroups via Wi-Fi. The novelty is equipped with an impressive size touch screen, allowing the user to comfortably set the image parameters, choosing them from an accessible content library or downloading from your smartphone. Ripple Maker will take no more than 10 seconds to capture the most complex three-dimensional image in a layer of foam, creating a small work of art.

The idea of filling a cup of coffee with new content, at first glance, looks somewhat strange. But only at first. A coffee cup with catchy text or brand name is an excellent and brand new promotional tool. An idea can be very interesting for its commercial subtext, as it opens up fundamentally new opportunities for advertising an institution, company, product or event. Not surprisingly, Lufthansa became one of the first partners of Stream CC. And if on board an airliner in the very near future you will be presented with a personalized cup of coffee with gratitude for choosing a company - you know, this is the work of Ripple Maker.

To access the product’s intellectual capabilities, Stream CC developed a special iOS application called Barista, which you can work with on the coffee machine’s large touch screen and remotely, controlling from your smartphone. The application allows you to choose from a library of texts and images, divided into thematic sections, to carry out simple operations to edit the image, changing its size, to create your own collections. Access to the database of public points where it will be possible to apply the image is supported. The Android smartphone app is under development and is expected next month.

Upon reflection, Stream CC decided not to limit itself to selling Ripple Maker and settled on the option of package support for the proprietary Barista application. The cost of an annual subscription giving the right to use the Barista application is $ 75, which is practically not noticeable for any existing company, cafeteria or restaurant.
It is worth recognizing that today the company is positioning Ripple Maker as a commercial product focused on business and mass consumers. In addition to the coffee machine itself and the content, the creators of Stream CC also offer to buy the Ripple Pods coffee mixture, which, according to their assurances, guarantees not only the excellent taste and aroma of latte or cappuccino, but also the best picture quality.

According to the developers, with Ripple Maker it’s no more difficult to send any image to coffee foam than to post a photo on a social network, which, however, affects the cost of the device. Already in the basic configuration (without the cost of a service pack) it is $ 999.
