Windows 10 Mobile - build 10549 available to insiders

Busy days for insiders. Gabe Aul last night on Twitter announced a new build for Windows 10 Mobile.



To install a new build, you need to roll back using the Windows Device Recovery Tool to Windows Phone 8.1, and then reinstall the application. Participant in the preliminary evaluation program WIndows -> select Fast Ring and install a new assembly.
The fact is that right before the update distribution, an error was found that makes it impossible to update from the previous build.

Improvements in the new build:

• Cortana: understands Japanese, has become available to English-speaking users in Australia and Canada.
• Messages: now when you enter text, the input area will expand as needed. Integration of messages / calls and Skype.
• New emoji, support for various skin colors for them.

• Lumia 1020 owners can continue to use the Lumia Camera application - it will no longer be deleted when updating to insider builds. It is necessary, being on WP 8.1, to install / update the application and update to the insider assembly, then it is better not to delete the application, because there is no app in the Windows 10 Store.
• Fixed crashes of the Windows Camera application.
• Fixed crashes of the on-screen keyboard when trying to send messages.
• Finger zoom in the Maps application now works correctly.
• Fixed bug with setting ringtones on contacts.
• Call blocking now works.
• Notification center bug fixed - when deleting notifications, the notification icon could remain in the status bar.
• Fixed bug with saving screenshots. Now all applications will be able to correctly access them.
• Fixed a bug when applications installed on a memory card did not start if this card was pulled out and reinserted.

Detected bugs, they are suspiciously few:

• After the upgrade, some applications may disappear. Treatment - reset.
• After the phone reboots, notifications will not be shown, for example, about new messages, until you unlock the phone for the first time.
• You cannot make calls using applications such as Skype for Business, WhatsApp and the like. It is treated by reinstalling these applications.

The previous build, after a hard reset, behaved quite well, I hope this build will also prove to be stable. The only upset is the need to reset to upgrade to the latest build.
