On kinopoisk.ru returned the previous "Kinopoisk"

For a change, the good news is on Monday morning: the epic with Kinopoisk ended in the most unexpected and, at the same time, in the best way - Yandex returned everything as it was: The story of how everything that could be done was wrong , ended up doing something right in the end - and angry usernames can now celebrate victory. PS Yandex dismissed the remnants of the old Kinopoisk team for disclosing information. I recall that last Thursday, unexpectedly for everyone (despite the fact that announcements of future changes were heard a long time ago), Kinopoisk was suddenly restarted - having lost its design change a significant part of the valuable functionality . While the project team celebrated this event at the party

, Runet exploded in thousands of indignant comments - 96% of reviews were and remain negative . First, Yandex released a release stating that they were ready for a storm of anger, but that everything would remain the same. By Friday evening, they changed their minds, saying that they would temporarily release “Kinopoisk” in the old design on another domain. And now, today - again without warning (at least I have not heard of such plans), they returned the old Kinopoisk exactly to the place from which it was taken: www.kinopoisk.ru

The previous design is in place, old passwords work (the Yandex account is no longer needed for authorization). This inconsistency is explained by the fact that Yandex, obviously, did not have any plan “B” at the time of the restart - it was said that they did not plan to support the old version and turned off everything that could be turned off - so they had to improvise.

    1. I’m sure that neither the old nor the new Kinopoisk team even suspected how dear to the most respectable public it really was - like the public itself, until it was taken away from us
    2. This should be a useful example for other fans to buy and break - at least, the case deserves to have a precedent named after it: for example, “mess up, like Yandex and Kinopoisk”

This is only an assumption, but the reason for the repeated change of plans and the return of “Kinopoisk” to the old domain, most likely, is that they did not manage to establish any decent work for the restarted site - even when the influx of goofy users subsided, the site did not stop braking .

It follows from the official report that realizing the failure of the restart, they did not leave “new Kinopoisk” to their fate - you can see what we fought off at beta.kinopoisk.ru There you can also monitor further changes to all the same, it should become the future “Cinema Search”.

Just in case, I’ll repeat for those Yandexoids who read this far: we don’t need a slightly combed version of the same redesign in a couple of months. Find the strength to start all over again.
