Now the company has launched an online configurator that allows you to select the functions of an electric vehicle that the buyer would like to see in his vehicle.

Naturally, this configurator immediately began to be used to clarify the company's pricing policy. As it turned out, she is not too soft. The top model Signature Series will cost the amount indicated in the title - and this is a lot, even for well-off people. Moreover, if you choose three packages at once, Signature Series, Ludicrous Mode and Subzero Weather, then the price of an electric car will increase to $ 143,750.



As for the Ludicrous Mode, this option allows you to order an electric car that can accelerate from 0 to 90 km / h in just 3.2 seconds (basic acceleration to this speed is 3.8 seconds).

By the way, this SUV is quite roomy - it has a third row of seats that can accommodate two adults.

If desired, the Model X Signature can be equipped with autopilot functions, which include auto parking and tracking of road markings. However, while Tesla does not provide information on the timing of the release of the Autopilot function. She is currently in beta testing.

Model X has a 90 kWh battery pack, which is enough for about 390 kilometers on a single battery charge.

As for the price of $ 132,000, it should be noted that this is the cost of the most expensive model in the entire line. In the future, more affordable models will appear on the market as the production of new Tesla increases. For example, Model X will be released with a smaller battery, but the price of such models has not yet been announced.

Anyway, so far none of the Tesla models can be called budget.

Nevertheless, Tesla also offers the opportunity to update the already purchased Roadster 3.0 electric car. For $ 29,000, the buyer gets an updated battery, whose capacity is 40% higher than the capacity of old batteries. Of course, this amount does not include the cost of the electric car itself - you need to either have your own electric car, or buy a used one. In addition to updating the battery, the company will perform a number of other car maintenance tasks. For example, additional elements will be installed to improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the car, tires and some controls will be replaced.

All this, according to company representatives, should take no more than a few days.
