Creator Venture Academy starts in mid-September

In honor of the day of knowledge, I decided to share information about the imminent start of an educational event, to which I managed to register recently for the development and attempt to commercialize my DIY developments.

Initially, he planned to force the idea there with a scooter startup, but taking into account the complexity of the project and the lack of resources, he decided to prefer the development of the project with a compact micro-server layout.

In fact, registration has recently been extended until September 7th. As far as I know, this is the first pilot iteration of this educational program.

Participation is free subject to three basic conditions:

1. Have a technical education (if you have a head and hands can work wonders, they can turn a blind eye to the lack of professional education)
2. Understand that you will have to work a lot. And the willingness not to turn astray.
3. Have an interview with the EBA Supervisory Board and top EBA graduates.

At the moment, we managed to attend the solemn announcement of the event and capture the official part of this action:

(A prototype for testing electric transport components for a micro-scooter project also visited the scene, and I managed to take part in creating it a little)

As I understand it, the main lessons of the academy will be held at the All-Russian Exhibition Center VDNKh in the Steel Hackspace pavilion . The

preliminary stages of the academy are as follows:

Well, Now, a bit about my project, the development of which is planned in the framework of the Academy of makers creators:

establishment of an early-MVP prototype took place literally on his knee little effort / cost and described in my June post "NUC'i, Lego, Superglue . " An improvised survey of a potential audience was made there.
Soon I plan to publish a post on the creation of the second iteration of the rack frame. At the next iterations, the operational qualities of the solution will increase.
The plans include the production of a frame from an aluminum bar with heat-dissipating fins and the removal of heat from NUCs through heat pipes instead of internal air cooling. Next, it is planned to create modules for framesets from the Edison Board with the functions of temperature monitoring, power management, a COM port server and other similar features. In the future, the concept of low-cost modular micro / nano servers will be formed in terms of its operational characteristics not inferior to advanced blade server platforms.
The companies of SOHO / SMB segments and startups are considered as the main potential consumers, since the solution allows to achieve a significant reduction in direct and indirect costs for the server infrastructure.
Next, it is planned to bring the product to the segment of data centers, which will be able to formulate proposals for the “anti-crisis” dedicated and colocation hosting on its basis.

As for the Academy itself, the basic information is given in the presentation of the organizers .

The maker training topic itself is now gaining momentum with leaps and bounds, as I was lucky to see at RAICamp , where a round table was held on the topic “Maker and Hobbies Communities” with the participation of RVC, Intel, Deloitte, MIPT and others:

So I hope the mass commercialization of domestic DIY-development is not far off. And I, in turn, would be glad to see more interesting developments and participants on the stream. Perhaps someone will be interested to join my modest project.

Only registered users can participate in the survey. Please come in.

Perhaps I will try to document the learning process in this course. Would you be interested in publishing videos of lectures and training events from this course?
