Samsung launches first smartphone on Tizen

    Samsung has announced a budget smartphone based on the Tizen operating system for the Indian market. A four-inch Z1 phone costs 5,700 rupees (about $ 90).

    The word "budget" is perfect for Samsung Z1. This is a smartphone with a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, a 1.2 GHz processor, a 3.1 megapixel main camera and a VGA front camera, 768 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and a 1500 mAh battery, which enough for 8 hours of conversation. The memory will expand with a microSD card. Three colors will be available: white, black and red wine.

    The smartphone has a place for two SIM cards: in the case of India, this is important, since many use several SIM cards from various operators and often several phones, choosing the best combination to save on the Internet and calls to other cities and other operators.

    Tizen is an open Linux-based operating system developed by Intel, Samsung, and other corporations for use on a variety of devices, including smartphones, car systems, and smart TVs. Tizen is used in Samsung Gear 2 and new Samsung TVs .

    Earlier, the company had already announced the sale of a smartphone on Tizen - model Z. This device with an HD display was built on the basis of a dual-core 2.3 GHz processor, had 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, LTE support, an 8-megapixel camera, a fingerprint scanner finger and heart rate monitor. As a result, Samsung Z did not reach the consumer.
