Tesla reported sales: for 3 months of 2015, 10,030 electric cars were sold

Yesterday, Tesla published an official press release for the first quarter of 2015. According to him, 10,030 electric cars were sold, and sales growth was thus 55% compared to the same period last year. The figures of the report are given with high accuracy (a possible error of about 1% is possible), because the company independently sells electric cars. Due to this independence, Tesla plans to publish quarterly sales data within three days after the end of the quarter.

In early February, it became knownthat Tesla is experiencing serious sales problems in China - about 120 electric cars are sold per month. In this regard, a number of top managers of the company should be ready to part with their jobs if the trend continues. Not least of all, this was due to the poor organization of the Chinese division of the company. For example, Shanghai resident Sunny Zhang complains that he only received a car in September that he bought in April.

In late March, Elon Musk admittedthat his expectations from the Chinese market are overestimated due to erroneous information received from local retail chains. In addition, local bureaucracy also poses significant obstacles: approximately 1,600 imported cars could not reach their owners due to licensing problems. However, Musk does not intend to retreat. He still considers the Chinese market one of the priorities for his company and is not going to leave it.

A couple of days ago, Elon Musk wrote a tweet in which he said that at the end of April his company will show a new product and "... this is not a car." I immediately reacted to this statement.the market and Tesla securities rose 4% in 10 minutes. Thus, the capitalization of the company Mask grew by $ 900 million due to only one tweet.
