Let there be rock: PHDays 8 will host a music festival

PHDays has always attracted creative people - artists, inventors, retro-futurists. This year we went further and decided to organize a two-day Positive Hard Days music festival. We invite musical groups from technology companies in Russia and the CIS to participate.

The idea to hold a music festival at PHDays has long been in our heads. The first approach to the projectile we made in 2016, when we organized the IT Music Fest mini-festival, which was attended by music groups from ABBYY, Kaspersky Lab, Mail.Ru, and Positive Technologies. The experience turned out to be successful, and we decided to scale the festival and invite famous musicians and experts to the jury, and groups of large technology companies as participants.

We want Positive Hard Days to become not just a festival, but a grandiose celebration, where colleagues on the stage will be able to perform on the same stage in front of a large audience of the forum, and all those involved in information security and IT can take heart away.

The terms of participation

Musical groups consisting of from three to eight people performing musical works in the genres of rock, pop rock, rock and roll can become a participant in the festival. Prerequisite: at least one of the group members must be an employee of an IT or information security company.

To participate, you must send an application to the address: music@phdays.com . In the free-form application, you need to indicate the name of the collective and the number of participants, attach a short story about the group with a photo in good quality, as well as 2 compositions (links to video or audio) - one of your own composition and a cover version of the hit of a famous group in rock genres, pop rock or rock and roll.

Applications are considered by the jury of the festival, which includes well-known performers, producers, editors and journalists of music publications, television channels, as well as representatives of information security and IT companies.

Selection stages

• Applications are accepted until April 2.
• Selected groups will be invited to the semifinal auditions to be held at the PHDays forum on May 15 and 16, 2018 at the Moscow World Trade Center. Each group will perform a 20-minute set in front of the jury and members of the PHDays forum.
• Winners Announcement - May 16th.

Prizes

The author’s tracks of the festival’s finalists will be included in the music collection and published on the CD, as well as posted on Yandex.Music and iTunes. The recording of musical compositions will be held in a professional studio at the expense of the festival organizers.

The winner of the festival will have the opportunity to record a song and shoot a clip for his work together with a distinguished representative from the jury.

A festival of audience sympathy will also be drawn at the festival.
