Linux Foundation Introduces Kubernetes Free Introductory Online Course
The edX online educational site introduced the Introduction to Kubernetes course , created by the nonprofit organization The Linux Foundation and run by a specialist from CloudYuga Technologies.

The new course focuses on teams that are just starting to implement Kubernetes (or think about it) to orchestrate containers. The authors promise to talk about the basic concepts of Kubernetes, the architecture of this system, the problems to be solved, and the model that is used to deploy containers and scale the infrastructure.
Practical skills that students will receive:
For more advanced features Kubernetes will be given a brief overview.
The course, of course, is in English and, which is noteworthy, is free (with the ability to obtain a certificate of successful completion for 99 USD) . The duration of the course is 4-5 weeks (2-3 hours per week). Applications for participation are submitted on the course page .
Last month, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and The Linux Foundation announced a set of beta enthusiasts for their first Kubernetes certification exam ( its contents ). Registration was carried out until June 23, and we submitted applications, but since then no news has been received from the organizers - we are waiting ...

- How to configure and use a Kubernetes cluster using Minikube (i.e. locally)
- how to run applications in a normal Kubernetes environment and gain access to deployed applications;
- what help can be found in the Kubernetes communities and how to get involved.
