5 Computer Science Fellowships

Sometimes the scholarships offered by universities are designed for all specialties, but sometimes they apply only to those who choose a certain area of study. The selection contains five scholarships intended for specialists in the field of Computer Science - from the master's level to post-doctoral programs. The proposals are very diverse - from the classic Swiss Higher Technical School of Zurich, one of the ten best universities in the world, to the University of King Abdulaziz in Saudi Arabia.
PhD Fellowship for International Students, Max Planck Research School for Computer Science
The Max Planck Institute offers 15 fully paid scholarships for study on the PhD program and participation in the research activities of the institute. They can apply for the program both after graduation, and immediately after receiving a bachelor's degree. Training takes place in English (a certificate is required). During the selection process, candidates will have to submit their research project to the commission. The Institute recommends applicants to also pass the GRE General Test and GRE Computer Science subject, however this requirement is not mandatory.

Postdoctoral Fellowships for International Applicants, EPFL
24 postdoctoral positions at the Polytechnic University of Lausanne - one of the strongest universities in Europe. Applicants must have a PhD degree or get it while working on the position. Successful applicants must submit a work plan to one of the university’s research teams at the application stage. In the case of passing the selection, the salary of the post-dock will be 2,625 euros (this amount may be higher due to surcharges from the head of the research project) paid over 24 months.

Postgraduate Scholarships, King Abdulaziz University
The next scholarship program involves studying in a very unusual place - in Saudi Arabia. However, King Abdulaziz University is considered one of the best in the Middle East. The university offers full tuition and a monthly scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students (unfortunately, only for men) in various specialties, including in the field of Computer Science.

EMEA Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
Since the previous proposal was for men only, justice needs to be restored: Anita Borg Scholarship, awarded by Google, is for women only. The program requires candidates to study at a university located in Europe, Africa or the Middle East in 2016/2017 and plan to continue their studies in the next academic year. Scholarships are awarded based on the academic achievements of the candidates and their leadership abilities.

Master Scholarship Program, ETH Zurich
Zurich's Swiss Higher Technical School offers scholarships for masters studying in all the programs offered by the university. The main requirement for candidates is high academic results (usually you need to enter the top 10% of the course according to the results of undergraduate studies). In addition to recommendations, transcripts and motivational writing, future students should also submit a preliminary research proposal, where they will describe the planned topic of their graduate master's work. Note that in the latest ranking QS ETH Zurich took 8th place among the best universities in the world (and the same place in the world in the field of computer science).
