Computex will showcase tablets on Windows 8

    Almost immediately after the release of Windows 8 Release Preview, a number of major manufacturers will present a number of tablet devices and laptops on Windows 8 at the upcoming Computex exhibition (Taiwan) on June 4.

    Acer, Toshiba and ASUS (the latter is going to release the long-awaited tablet from Google in June) will show their new products. teaser videos that hint that the exclusive world of Android on mobile devices is coming to an end.

    According to Bloomberg reviewers, Acer’s solution will be based on the Intel platform, Toshiba will rely on ARM processors, while ASUS will present the tablet in either two versions (Intel and ARM), or a dual-boot version of Windows 8 and Android 4.0. Also, ASUS, apparently, uses one of the Tegra chips from nVidia, and conceptually the device will repeat the Transformer form factor successfully found by the company; the new product will be represented by Microsoft Vice President Steven Guggenheimer (Steven Guggenheimer).

    The price of tablets is not yet known.
